In the immediate aftermath of the savage murder of 58 fellow music fans one year ago at the RT91 Harvest Festival, a stylistically diverse collection of Las Vegas bands began recording their own versions of country music songs...Maybe at first because it was hard to know what else to do, but the initial feelings of helpless outrage quickly gave way to the feeling that any divide between these two communities, whether it be stylistic, cultural, political, real or manufactured, didn't exist. They were us and we were them. That was a feeling worth preserving. That's what this compilation is. These songs were all captured while it was all still fresh. It is one year later. Listen carefully, you can hear it. With love, this is our country.
